Midlife can be magical. That’s the idea behind Paranormal Women’s Fiction, where you’ll find women of a certain age kicking ass. These are powerful creatures who know what they want, who they are, and won’t let anything get in their way—not exes or demons, hot flashes, crow’s feet or crime. Dive into this selection of stories from some of today’s best-selling PWF authors (listed in alphabetical order).

Lucía Ashta – Smexy Shenanigans (A Witches of Gales Haven Novella)

Luanne and Shawna head out of Gales Haven for the day, expecting to drink a little too much and dance the night away. What they don’t expect is to unearth secrets they believed long buried. Secrets that mean a whole new kind of trouble for the Gawama witches.

Morgana Best – Sixty, Sassy, and Sleuthing (Colt Calling Horse Rescue Mysteries Prequel)

The world is determined to put 60-year-old Cally Colt out to pasture, but she’s no one-trick pony. When she’s suspected of murder, Cally must clear her name, keep a horse rescue financially stable, and stay alive. Will she do it, or is she on a foal’s errand?

Annabel Chase – Wet My Plants (The Bloomin’ Psychic)

During an overnight visit to a historic house, Mia discovers she isn’t the only thing that goes bump in the night.

Renee George – The Importance of Being Gilly

Midlife dating is all fun and games until someone falls into the flambé and catches on fire… When Nora Black’s BFF Gilly Martin requests her help, Nora agrees to employ her psychic nose for the good of her bestie’s future.

Colleen Helme – License to Steal (A Shelby Nichols Novella)

A PI license, a stolen figurine, and the sinister plot behind it… another day for mind-reader, Shelby Nichols, that could be deadly.

Shéa MacLeod – Some Enchanted Reading (A Season of the Witch Novella)

One unexpected tarot reading, one enchantment gone awry, and one very befuddled witch in dire need of a cocktail.

HP Mallory & JR Rain – Black Cat Cocktail Club (A Haven Hollow Story)

While brewing potions and boozing with the other ladies of Haven Hollow, Poppy accidentally knocks two potions onto Wanda’s familiar, Hellcat, who immediately vanishes! Soon it becomes a mad dash to find Hellcat in order to reverse whatever magic Poppy inadvertently subjected him to.

Rebecca Regnier – Rock of Mages (A Widow’s Bay Short Story)

The newest neighborhood in Widow’s Bay is an HGTV addict’s dream! But while the floorplans may be open concept a curse is closing in. Only the empty nest coven can save the sinking shiplap!

Christine Zane Thomas – Midlife Matchmaking

After exhausting all the dating apps available, Lauren Whittaker tries a spell. Surely, her dating life can’t get any worse. But magic always has a way of complicating things.

Nancy Warren – Crossing the Lines (The Vampire Book Club Prequel)

Seattle witch Quinn Callahan knew she wasn’t supposed to mess with death. Now, the Grim Reaper’s turned up at her book club and he’s not there for the gossip and the cheese plate.

Louisa West – You Look ‘Familiar’ (A Midlife in Mosswood Novella)

Deborah Wilde – A Deader Shade of Pale (A Magic After Midlife Short)

Hexes and Holly is a wonderful Christmas Anthology featuring some of the best cozy mystery authors there is!

Morgana Best’s “But Wait… There’s Myrrh” is a fantastic funny novella. Jennifer is the protagonist and she is hitting menopause and something else is also going on, something magical! This story was SO hilarious and well written. There’s murder, menopause, and mayhem. This prequel novella to a new cozy paranormal women’s fiction leaves me wanting more and I cannot wait for this new series.

Yule Tide Murder by Jenna St. James is so fun. Fights going back hundreds of years and multiple suspects for murder and robbery. This is such a great book with Serena and Grant.

Hidden in Plain Sight by Amorette Anderson
If you read the Hillcrest series you will love this! Marley and Penny have a mystery on their hands finding the stolen christmas decorations. Gargoyles and witches make for such a fun story.

Bespelled by Ava Mallory
This was such a fun short story . A Beatrice Montoya short. I really loved it!

Things that Go Bump and the Knight by Hermoine Moon.
I haven’t read this series yet, but I loved this story and reading about the Avalon Cafe.

Lost Souls ParaAgency and The Christmas Siren by K.M. Waller
I love the Lost Souls ParaAgency so much and this was a great addition.
Such a fun story.

Angels, Eggnog, and Murder by Tegan Maher
This story was so AMAZING! I think it takes a very talented author to be able to do a crossover and seamlessly incorporate 3 different series. Kira from Southern Soul Hunter series goes home with Shelby to Keyhole Lake and their is a murder to solve. I loved the story from Kira’s voice it was so neat to see Keyhole Lake from her perspective as an outsider.

Mystic Greetings by Leanne Leeds
I hadn’t read this author before and this was an interesting story. It was short and I think I need to go look at her other books to understand the characters a bit more.

Merry Misdeeds by Misty Bane
A fun story . There is a Christmas festival and a woman that has way too many enemies is killed.
The setting is all paranormals which I really enjoyed. I will look for more from this author.

Mintwood Christmas Paws by Addison Creek
This was a fun story, and I really enjoyed Paws. I will definitely check out more of this authors work.

Wicked Gift of the Witch by ReGina Welling & Erin Lynn
I REALLY loved this one! Hagatha Crow oh my goodness! She tries to spoil Christmas, but it doesn’t worked as planned. I LOVE this series and I was so pleased to read this fun short story. If you haven’t read the series yet, I highly recommend it!

All I Witch for Christmas is You by Samantha Silver
This short story is from the new Fairy Falls series which I LOVE!
Mina and Pawdrey are auditioning for a film role for Pawdrey when a rare gem is stolen.
This was a great mystery that I really loved. If you have not read this author yet, go run and check her out. The next book in this series comes out November 15th and I am really excited!

This was a different type of mystery and a bit sad. The main characters is very likeable.

Anthology Spotlight- Six Merry Little Murders

Indulge yourself with this collection of delectable cozy mystery novellas from 6 of today’s most beloved authors!

51KTgN22p7L

SIX MERRY LITTLE MURDERS includes brand new stories from Lee Strauss, Karen MacInerney, CeeCee James, Nancy Warren, Molly Fitz, and Addison Moore.

This anthology includes the following stories:

Lee Strauss – MURDER BY PLUM PUDDING

There’s nothing more fun than a festive holiday dinner party and Ginger Reed, the former Lady Gold, has Hartigan House decorated and the gramophone playing. Dressed in her finest Parisian low-waisted gown, feather-topped tiara, and T-strapped Italian leather shoes, Ginger is ready to host the delectable event.

It’s a jolly good time, until someone chokes on the pudding.

Is it an accident or is it murder? And can Ginger unravel the mystery before the church bells ring and New Year’s Day dawns?

Karen MacInerney – SLAY BELLS RING

It’s Christmastime on Dewberry Farm, and homesteader Lucy Resnick is busy bundling mistletoe bunches and cedar swags for the Buttercup Christmas Market when a neighbor’s houseguest keels over right next to her peach orchard. Was it a stray bullet from a hunter that took him out? Or did a guest at the fancy ranch next door decide to scratch somebody off his or her Christmas list? It’s up to Lucy to unwrap the mystery… before the holiday killer strikes again.

CeeCee James – CHRISTMAS AT BAKER STREET

In this Baker Street spin-off, Oscar and Cecelia find themselves and the guests snowed in this Christmas holiday. What should be all sugar cookies and hot cocoa takes a drastic turn when one of the guests turns up cold—as in stone cold dead. With no help in sight, the two hope to find the killer before anyone else gets iced out, including them.

Nancy Warren – CAT’S PAWS AND CURSES

In this classic closed room mystery, someone is murdered during a knitting class. But how was it possible? Lucy Swift and her band of undead knitters must catch the culprit before there’s a second Christmas catastrophe!

Molly Fitz – MEOWY CHRISTMAS MAYHEM

It’s Angie’s first Christmas as a pet owner, and she can’t wait to celebrate with Octo-Cat, Paisley, and Nan. All it takes is a little finely-crafted trickery to get her crabby tabby into the local pet supply store for a special photo opportunity with Santa. Unfortunately, the jolly old soul is found dead in the stock room before he ever gets the chance to say “cheese.” Angie and her motley crew of sidekicks need to work fast to find the culprit and prevent any further suspicious holiday slaying… Otherwise, the most wonderful time of the year could end up becoming the most murderous season Blueberry Bay has ever seen.

Addison Moore – CHRISTMAS FUDGE FATALITY

My name is Lottie Lemon, and I see dead people. Okay, so I rarely see dead people, mostly I see furry creatures of the dearly departed variety, aka dead pets, who have come back from the other side to warn me of their previous owner’s impending doom.

The holidays have arrived and the Jolly Holly Tree Lot is hosting a special event that has the entire town bustling to get a picture with the jolly old elf himself. And I’m just as anxious as anyone to get to the front of the line, but that body I stumble upon threatens to take the joy right out of the sea.

I was so honored to receive an advanced copy of this anthology and I have read EVERY single book. They are all 5 stars from Miss W!!!

One of my favorite things about anthologies is trying new authors and let me tell you I found two new authors that I am looking up ALL their books now!!!! An anthology is a great taster for an authors work and writing style and I am truly in love with all these stories!!!!
